My 2014 NaNoWriMo Novel

…is complete! The first draft of my first novel is officially in one piece. It’s a mess, but at least it’s better than the state it was in before (4 Word documents, a handwritten chapter, and the climax still unwritten). I won the November 2014 session with over 50,000 words, but the climax still needed to be written. This manuscript will most likely never see the light of day (let alone publication), but that’s okay. I finished my first NaNoWriMo novel, and that is all the closure I need.

Title: Scriptica
Word count goal:
50,000 words (met in November 2014)
Word count total: 65,736 words (171 pages, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing)
As always, I made a playlist that I listened to throughout the writing process.

Radiant Garden – Kingdom Hearts Soundtrack
Dive Into the Heart – Kingdom Hearts Soundtrack
Storytime – Nightwish
Resonance – T.M. Revolution
Resistance – Muse
Dancing In the Velvet Moon – Nana Mizuki
Sandstorm – Darude

Radioactive In the Dark – Imagine Dragons & Fall Out Boy
This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race – Fall Out Boy

Separate Ways – Journey
Warriors – Imagine Dragons
Army of Me – Sucker Punch Soundtrack

Supremacy – Muse

Fury – Epic Score

Writing my first novel was a painful, painstaking, tedious, horrific, traumatic, agonizing adventure. I can’t wait to do it again.
